Alan Hawkins
Director, Sony Pictures Animation
Previously, Hawkins served as a Head of Character Animation at Sony Pictures Imageworks, overseeing the Academy Award®-nominated films “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” and "The Mitchells vs the Machines."
Hawkins has been making movies with Sony Animation since 2004, where he has acted as the Head of Animation on the majority of the Hotel Transylvania franchise, as well as associate producing the fourth installment. His other credits include the "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" films, "Open Season," the academy award nominated "Surf's Up," and the Sony/Aardman collaboration "Arthur Christmas." There might also be a Smurfs movie in there somewhere.
For his contributions Alan has been nominated for an Annie Award, won a VES award, and is a member of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Hawkins is a graduate of Ringling College of Art and Design and grew up in Littleton, Colorado.
