Art in Action

  • Spreading the intrinsic power of creativity along the joy of self-expression – and emphasizing the importance of both to a large swath of the community – is an extremely worthy mission. This project seamlessly conveys its objectives and how best to attain them through clever and engaging strategy and executions. This entry clearly exhibits an understanding of audience/community needs and have addresses them with complete and compelling tactics – from cohesive merchandizing and media channels to thoughtful events and curriculum. All of which nicely capture and covey the importance of the tasks at hand, while providing engaging, hands-on ways to accomplish them.

Creative Cultivations

  • Outstanding research has yielded an excellent graphic presentation of both a timely problem and a compelling way to address it. This project encourages audience engagement and meaningful reasons why in ways that educate and entertain viewers. And, in so doing, promotes awareness and lively participation. In addition, these students have created an extremely comprehensive and very viable, real-world plan of action that could easily be implemented – not only on the Ringling Campus – but franchised to other campuses as well, bringing a very impressive solution to a clearly identified need.

Frame Papers

  • Stop-you-in-your-tracks imagery, combined with art direction, design and content that creates a surprise at every turn of the page, this magazine project exhibits a clear understanding of its primary audience and how best to draw them back into the print medium. A bit shocking? Perhaps. Fun and appealing? Absolutely. The ability to keep the reader wondering where the next photo spread, ad, or editorial will take them makes this project a delightful alternative to the sameness of other mediums, as well as to current publications in the space. Well done.
